Bannister Custom Exteriors has been owned and operated by the Bannister family since 1959. At that time, after proudly serving with the U.S. Army, Robert D. Bannister moved back to Burlington, VT, to take a “leap of faith” and start his roofing and painting business. As in any successful business, it took a team of supporters to make the business work. With the help of his wife Marie as Office Manager and the hard work of the entire family and some close friends, Robert ran the company with pride and integrity.

Today, Kevin works closely with his son Ryan to ensure that the third generation of this family business will always maintain a positive direction.

In keeping with their history of thoughtful evolution and meaningful change, Bannister Roofing and Siding, Inc. has recently established another milestone. In January of 2011, the company reacted to the industry’s demand for more certification and quality assurance. Under the new name of Bannister Custom Exteriors, the company now offers certified installation for all of their roofing and siding projects.
